Product Information
- 4-chloro-7-methoxy-2-phenyl-Quinoline
- Quinoline, 4-chloro-7-methoxy-2-phenyl-
4-Chloro-7-methoxy-2-phenylquinoline (4CMPQ) is a postulated antiviral compound that binds to the active site of the hepatitis C virus NS3 protease, inhibiting its activity. 4CMPQ is thought to inhibit the production of β-amino acids and tripeptides by interacting with the vinylated tripeptide residue. The molecular modeling studies suggest that 4CMPQ binds to NS3 protease in a manner similar to β-amino acid and tripeptides. 4CMPQ also interacts with tetrapeptides.
