6-[5-(4-Methyl-1,3-thiazol-2-yl)-1H-imidazol-4-yl]-1,3-benzothiazole is a molecule that inhibits bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs), which are signaling molecules that regulate cell division, differentiation and growth. 6-[5-(4-Methyl-1,3-thiazol-2-yl)-1H-imidazol-4-yl]-1,3 benzothiazole may be used to treat cancers such as pancreatic cancer and other cell proliferative diseases or conditions. This molecule has been shown to induce pluripotent stem cells from mouse bone marrow and inhibit the growth of cancer cells in mice. 6-[5-(4 Methyl 1,3 thiazol 2 yl) 1 H imidazol 4 yl] 1 3 benzothiazole can also be used to treat diabetes mellitus type I
