Description:
3-Iodo-1-methyl-7-nitro-1H-indazole is a l1210 murine leukemia cell cycle inhibitor. It inhibits the cell cycle at the G2/M phase by binding to DNA and preventing RNA transcription, which is necessary for protein synthesis. 3-Iodo-1-methyl-7-nitro-1H-indazole has been shown to selectively inhibit leukemia cells and not normal cells, making it useful in treating cancer. This drug also has antiproliferative activities, which means that it slows down or stops cancer growth by interfering with the continuous process of cell division.
