TDATA can be delivered in the form of microcapsules or as a coating on other drugs. TDATA has been shown to inhibit autophagy and increase hydrogenated pyrite formation in cells with defective efflux pumps. This agent also inhibits the expression of efflux proteins and increases tetracycline resistance in prostate cancer cells.
