Description:
(E)-Kresoxim-2-hydroxymethyl (free acid) is a synthetic, broad-spectrum antibiotic that inhibits the growth of a wide range of microorganisms. It can be used as an alternative to erythromycin and has shown efficacy against bacteria such as Streptococcus pyogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Enterobacter cloacae, Proteus mirabilis, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. In addition to its antibacterial activity, it has been shown to have antiparasitic activity against Plasmodium falciparum and Toxoplasma gondii.
