D-Arg1,D-Pro2,D-Trp7,9,Leu11]-Substance P is a synthetic peptide that can be used as a research tool to study the function of Substance P receptors. It is a ligand for the NK1 receptor and inhibits the activity of ion channels. D-Arg1,D-Pro2,D-Trp7,9,Leu11]-Substance P has been shown to inhibit the binding of substance P to cell membranes in vitro. This peptide also inhibits substance P binding to NK1 receptors in vivo.
