Description:

Urotensin II-related peptide (URP) is a potent, selective, nonpeptide antagonist of the calcitonin gene-related peptide receptor. URP inhibits the binding of calcitonin gene-related peptide to its receptor and blocks the effects of this peptide on a variety of cell types. In addition, URP suppresses the release of substance P from sensory neurons in rat skin and blocks neurogenic inflammation. This product is purified by HPLC and has an analytical purity of >95%.
