4-[1,5-Dicyano-3-(2-cyanoethyl)pentan-3-yl]-1-[2-(pyridin-2-yl)ethyl]pyridinium chloride is a drug that has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of skin cancer in mice. It does this by inhibiting tumor growth and angiogenesis. In vitro studies have shown that 4-[1,5-Dicyano-3-(2-cyanoethyl)pentan-3-yl]-1-[2-(pyridin-2-yl)ethyl]pyridinium chloride inhibits the formation of new blood vessels by blocking the activation of endothelial cells.
