Product Information
Naftopidil hydrochloride is an antihypertensive drug that blocks alpha-1 adrenergic receptors. It is used in the treatment of glaucoma and ocular hypertension, as well as to reduce intraocular pressure in patients with pigmentosa or retinal vein occlusion. Naftopidil hydrochloride has pharmacological effects on the nerve, vessel, and vein occlusion by inhibiting the release of norepinephrine from sympathetic nerves. The blockade of alpha-1 receptors prevents vasoconstriction, which leads to a decrease in blood pressure.
