Rac-3,5-bis(trideuteriomethyl)adamantan-1-amine hydrochloride is an extract of the indian plant Rauwolfia vomitoria. It has been validated as a human plasma surrogate at concentrations of 1, 10 and 100 μg/mL and validated in a human bioequivalence study with memantine. Rac-3,5-bis(trideuteriomethyl)adamantan-1-amine hydrochloride was analyzed by LCMS/MS using a method developed for this compound. The validation parameters of the method were monitored to ensure that the data obtained from this extract is reliable. Rac-3,5-bis(trideuteriomethyl)adamantan-1-amine hydrochloride is used for the treatment of dementia and other neurological disorders.
