Product Information
Iopromide-d3 is a diagnostic agent that can be used to diagnose cardiac and systemic effects of radiation. It is also used as a radiopaque contrast agent in angiography and in body mass index calculations. Iopromide-d3 has been shown to enhance the detection of restenosis following angioplasty. In vitro assays have shown that Iopromide-d3 has the ability to bind specifically to cancer cells, which may be due to its reaction with the phosphate group on DNA. The diagnostic use of Iopromide-d3 is limited by its low solubility, which produces an insoluble precipitate in water. This can be avoided by adding an organic solvent such as ethanol or acetone, or by dissolving it in a reaction solution containing sodium citrate and sodium chloride.
