Product Information
Haloperidol-D4 is an analytical method that is used to detect benzodiazepines, such as lorazepam, oxazepam, and clonazepam, in urine samples. It binds to the same sites on the benzodiazepine receptor as these drugs do and may be detected in human liver tissue. The matrix effect of the sample preparation needs to be taken into account when interpreting results. Haloperidol-D4 has been shown to be effective for chronic schizophrenia, but does not have any clinical response for first-generation antipsychotics. This test is also used to diagnose symptoms of Parkinson's disease and it is a marker for atp-binding cassette transporter gene mutations.
