Siamenoside I is a flavonol glycoside that has been shown to have hypoglycemic effects in animal models. It may also have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. The mechanisms of action are not fully understood, but it is hypothesized that Siamenoside I activates AMPK, which stimulates fatty acid oxidation, leading to an increase in glucose uptake by the cells. Siamenoside I was extracted from the fruiting body of Ganoderma lucidum using a surface methodology. It is also found in Fructus zizyphi and chemical structures can be found on a search engine. The reaction solution for this compound is polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
