Description:

2,3-Dibromopropionamide is an organic solvent that can be used as a preservative. It has been shown to have neurotoxic effects in animals and has been shown to cause irritation when applied to the skin or eyes. 2,3-Dibromopropionamide has antibacterial activity against a number of bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus and Enterobacter aerogenes. The reaction monitoring for this compound can be done by measuring the intensity of fluorescence at 260 nm. This product is not expected to interact with other compounds or produce any color changes during storage. This product can also be used in chromatographic methods for determining the amount of acrylamide in aqueous solutions.
