Description:
N-Benzyl-N-cyclopentylamine is an organic compound that is used as a surface active agent. It can be used to improve the performance of detergents, soaps, and disinfectants. N-Benzyl-N-cyclopentylamine is also used in the treatment of vitiligo as it has been shown to stimulate melanin production by inhibiting melanocyte tyrosinase activity. This agent binds to receptors for cannabinoids type 1 and polyols, which may account for its therapeutic effects.
