Bis-(toluene-4-sulfonyl)-methane is a reactive compound that can be used to synthesize choline. Bis-(toluene-4-sulfonyl)-methane reacts with anhydrous acetonitrile in a radical reaction to produce the corresponding nitrile, which is a pharmacokinetic marker for this drug. This compound has been shown to have anti-cancer activity and to inhibit disease activity in cancer patients.
