Description:
1,4-Dioxecane-5,10-dione is a diacid with properties that are suitable for use in regenerative medicine. It is biodegradable and has been shown to have the ability to form hydrogen bonds with other molecules. 1,4-Dioxecane-5,10-dione has been shown to act as a membrane stabilizer and can be used for drug encapsulation or as a solid dispersion agent. 1,4-Dioxecane-5,10-dione can be synthesized by esterification of an alcohol with a diol and it has been used in the synthesis of polyols. Magnetic resonance spectroscopy was used to study 1,4-dioxecane-5,10-dione's morphology and particle size. The most common technique used to study its properties is gel permeation chromatography.
