Product Information
3,6-dimethoxybenzene-1,2-dicarbonitrile is a palladium complex that has been studied by X-ray diffraction studies and molecular structures. It was found to be a tridentate ligand with sterically demanding groups in the binding site. The crystal structure of 3,6-dimethoxybenzene-1,2-dicarbonitrile is monoclinic. The molecule is planar with an axial orientation and shows a C 2 symmetry. Diffraction studies have been carried out to determine the crystal x-ray diffraction pattern of this compound.
The x-ray diffractions show that the molecule contains three crystallographically distinct carbon atoms at positions 1 (C1), 2 (C2) and 3 (C3). These carbon atoms are asymmetric with respect to each other, which can be seen from the different intensities of their peaks in the x-ray diffraction pattern.
