Description:
2-Hydroxyglutaric Acid-d3 Disodium Salt is a potent inhibitor of s-adenosylhomocysteine hydrolase and has been shown to inhibit histone methyltransferases. It also inhibits the transcription of microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (MITF) and tyrosinase, which are proteins involved in the production of melanin. 2-Hydroxyglutaric Acid-d3 Disodium Salt has been shown to be effective against glioma cells in vitro and may be used as a treatment for this disease.
