Description:

2-Bromo-N,N-diethylbenzenesulfonamide is a chemical compound that is the product of the reaction between bromine and diethylbenzenesulfonyl chloride. It is soluble in water and has a melting point of 114°C. The yield of this reaction is dependent on the nature of the palladium catalyst used. 2-Bromo-N,N-diethylbenzenesulfonamide is a heteroaromatic compound with a five member ring with two methyl ethers present on it. This compound can be used for cyclopentyl chlorides to form amines and for arylation reactions. The intramolecular bond cleavage occurs through oxidative decarboxylation or reductive amination at the benzylic position.
