Sodium 4-(2-Bromoethyl)benzenesulfonate is an organic compound that is used as a crosslinker for polystyrene. It is also a component in the formulation of solubilized dyes, colloidal particles, and membranes. Sodium 4-(2-Bromoethyl)benzenesulfonate has many functional groups that are reactive to other molecules. It can be degraded by naphthalimide. The thermal decomposition of sodium 4-(2-bromoethyl)benzenesulfonate yields azide and acid moieties.
