Product Information

Name:
4-(3-Chloropropoxy)benzoic acid
Description:

4-(3-Chloropropoxy)benzoic acid is a selective n-type calcium channel blocker that has been shown to have analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects in animal studies. It inhibits the activity of voltage-gated calcium channels, which are involved in many processes such as neurotransmitter release and muscle contraction. 4-(3-Chloropropoxy)benzoic acid has been shown to be an effective analgesic in chronic pain models and may also have therapeutic potential for neuroblastoma, a type of cancer that occurs in the developing nervous system. This drug also blocks ω-conotoxin, a marine toxin found in cone snail venom, which causes pain by acting on the same receptors as 4-(3-chloropropoxy)benzoic acid.
