Description

Ethyl 2-amino-6-bromo-4-(1-cyano-2-ethoxy-2-oxoethyl)-4H-1-benzopyran-3-carboxylate is a proapoptotic compound that inhibits the mitochondrial membrane potential and induces apoptosis. It has been shown to induce apoptosis in k562 cells and hl60 cells, as well as neuronal death in rats. Ethyl 2-amino 6 bromo 4 (1 cyano 2 ethoxy 2 oxoethyl) 4H 1 benzopyran 3 carboxylate has also been found to be an inhibitor of autophagy and have inhibitory properties on cancer cell lines. This drug has been shown to be synergistic with other drugs when used in combination therapy for the treatment of carcinoma cell lines.
