Product Information
(1R)-1-[3-[(3S)-Oxan-3-yl]-3,5,8,10-tetrazatricyclo[7.3.0.02,6]dodeca-1,4,6,8,11-pentaen-4-yl]ethanol is a suppressive agent that inhibits the production of cytokines and chemokines in T cells by binding to the signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT) protein. This inhibition leads to a decrease in inflammatory response and decreased allergen reactivity. It has been hypothesized that this molecule may be able to inhibit the production of cytokines and chemokines by binding to STAT proteins on other types of immune cells such as neutrophils or monocytes. Further research is needed to determine if this suppressive effect will be observed in other cell types and organisms.
