α-helical CRF 9-41 is a cyclase inhibitor that blocks the conversion of cyclic AMP to cyclic GMP and inhibits protein synthesis. It has been shown to be effective in reducing camp levels, follicular growth, and experimental models of breast cancer. This drug also has antinociceptive effects and may be useful in the treatment of cardiac conditions. α-helical CRF 9-41 can be used as a monoclonal antibody against human serum albumin (HSA).
