Product Information
2-bromo-1-methyl-1H-imidazole-4,5-dicarbonitrile is an experimental chemical that has been shown to produce birefringence when exposed to a wavelength of 400 nm. This agent is used in cross-coupling reactions to produce optically active methyl methacrylate. 2-bromo-1-methyl-1H-imidazole-4,5-dicarbonitrile can be used as a photoinitiator for the polymerization of methyl methacrylate. It can also be used as a chromophore in laser induced photolysis experiments.
