Product Information
Taiwanhomoflavone A is a 4-hydroxycinnamic acid that is derived from the leaves of Taiwan homoflavonia. It has been shown to have a photochemical activity, which provides biological properties. The structure of Taiwanhomoflavone A contains a hydroxyl group and a protocatechuic acid group. It has been shown that Taiwanhomoflavone A has antioxidant activity, which may be due to its structural similarity to other compounds with known antioxidant properties. Furthermore, it has been found to inhibit the growth of aerobacter aerogenes and p-hydroxybenzoic acid by binding to the dinucleotide phosphate in its cells. This binding prevents the formation of ATP, leading to cell death.
