Product Information
1-Bromo-2-methyl-3,4-dinitrobenzene is an inhibitor of the protein kinase C (PKC) family. It is a potent inhibitor of PKC and has been shown to inhibit the activity of other protein kinases. 1-Bromo-2-methyl-3,4-dinitrobenzene also has benzimidazole and benzotriazole substituents that are known to be inhibitors of PKC. This compound inhibits the activity of PKC by binding to its ATP binding site, which blocks substrate phosphorylation. 1 Bromo 2 methyl 3 4 dinitrobenzene also has a brominated substituent, which may contribute to its potent inhibition of PKC.
