Description:
PBOX-6 is a synthetic, potent, and selective inhibitor of the BCR-ABL kinase. It was shown to inhibit proliferation of K562 cells which are resistant to imatinib. PBOX-6 also potently induces apoptosis in HL60 cells with minimal toxicity to normal cells. The compound has anti-angiogenic effects and inhibits mitotic checkpoint in prostate cancer cells. PBOX-6 is highly specific for BCR-ABL kinase and does not inhibit other protein kinases such as RhoA or CDK2/3.
