Product Information
- 2-Propyltriazol-4-amine
- 2H-1,2,3-Triazol-4-amine, 2-propyl-
2-Propyl-2H-1,2,3-triazol-4-amine is a chemical compound that has been shown to have mutagenic properties. It is used in the development of drugs and medications. It is also used in the study of organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, and drug development. 2-Propyl-2H-1,2,3-triazol-4 amine has been found to be mutagenic under experimental conditions with Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis. This compound has been shown to cause genetic changes in DNA replication via its ability to interact with DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes, which maintain the integrity of bacterial DNA. 2-Propyl-2H-1,2,3 -triazol 4 amine has also been shown to be mutagenic when tested on a consortium of bacteria called Salmonella typhimurium tester strains (ST).
