1-BOC-4-bromo-3,5-dimethylpyrazole is a macrocyclic compound that has been shown to have interactions with allyl and bromides. The crystal structure of 1-BOC-4-bromo-3,5-dimethylpyrazole has been determined at high resolution by X-ray crystallography. The molecule has a bicyclic ring system with a bromine atom at the 4 position on one ring and a methyl group at the 4 position on the other ring. A stacking interaction occurs between these two rings, which are connected by an allyl bridge. NaOH solution was found to be the best solvent for 1-BOC-4-bromo-3,5--dimethylpyrazole crystals. Bromoalkyl groups can also be used to prepare crystals of this compound.
