Product Information
Dafadine-A is a molecule that is a chemical inhibitor of RNA helicase. It binds to the enzyme and prevents it from unwinding the DNA, inhibiting protein synthesis. Dafadine-A has been shown to inhibit RNA helicase in vitro, as well as in animal models. The inhibition of RNA helicase by dafadine-A may be due to its ability to bind to the enzyme's active site and inhibit ATP hydrolysis. Dafadine-A also inhibits cloning, which may be due to its ability to inhibit transcription or translation.
