Product Information
5-bromo-2H-indazole is a potentiating ligand that binds to an endogenous receptor and enhances the activity of other ligands, such as acetylcholine, at the same receptor. 5-bromo-2H-indazole has been shown to have a therapeutic effect in animal models of colitis. 5-bromo-2H-indazole binds to the muscarinic acetylcholine receptor and increases the binding affinity of radioligands for this receptor. Structural analogues demonstrate allosteric binding properties with high affinity for these receptors. 5-bromo-2H-indazole is structurally similar to indatraline and may be useful for treating ischaemic disorders in humans.
