3-Bromo-9,9-dimethyl-9H-fluorene is a molecule with the chemical formula C16H14Br2N2. This compound is synthesized by the cross coupling of anthracene and benzothiadiazole to form 3,4-dibromobenzothiadiazole. The low energy acceptor that is formed in this reaction has been shown to be capable of emitting light at a wavelength of 520 nm. The molecule was also found to have modulating properties in organic optoelectronics and can be used as a toolbox for creating new materials.
