Product Information
6,7,8-Trimethoxyquinazolin-4(3H)-one is a potential anticancer agent that has been shown to have anti-proliferative effects on cancer cells. The compound binds to the epidermal growth factor receptor at the cell surface and inhibits the binding of epidermal growth factor (EGF) and other amines. 6,7,8-Trimethoxyquinazolin-4(3H)-one also causes the release of free radicals from mitochondria, which can lead to DNA damage and cell death. This drug has been found to be effective against a variety of different types of cancer cells. In addition, it has shown synergistic effects when used in conjunction with other anticancer drugs such as epirubicin.
