Description:

Nor Neostigmine is a cholinesterase inhibitor, which is used to treat patients with myasthenia gravis. It works by blocking the breakdown of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction, thereby increasing its concentration in the synaptic cleft and improving muscle contractions. Nor Neostigmine has been shown to be effective for treatment of diabetic neuropathy and other diseases that result from decreased cholinergic activity. The drug has also been shown to have a beneficial effect on locomotor activity in rats. Nor Neostigmine is not active against human immunodeficiency virus or inflammatory diseases of the intestine.
