3-(Adamant-1-yl)propanoic acid is a chemical compound that is used in the manufacture of ethylene. It can be synthesized by the amination of adamantane using piperidine and diethyl ether. 3-(Adamant-1-yl)propanoic acid has been used to produce urea nitrogen, which is then converted into ammonium nitrate. The yield of this process depends on the nature and concentration of reactants as well as on the electrolysis monitoring technique. This chemical has also been used in the production of diacids and profiling techniques.
