Product Information
Tetrafluoroiodopyridine is a reagent that reacts with zinc powder to form 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-4-iodopyridine. It also reacts with chlorides and acyl halides to form organometallic compounds. Tetrafluoroborate salts are formed when tetrafluoroiodopyridine reacts with hydroxide ion or iodide ions. This reagent has been used in the synthesis of many organic compounds such as anion and dimethylformamide. Tetrafluoroiodopyridine is available in high yield with yields up to 95%.
