Description

Fenproporex hydrochloride is a polarizer that belongs to the class of alicyclic compounds. It is a psychostimulant, which stimulates the central nervous system by increasing levels of dopamine in the brain. Fenproporex hydrochloride is effective against inflammatory diseases and has been shown to be an anti-epileptic drug. The active form of this compound binds to receptors on neuronal membranes and inhibits nerve impulses, which may lead to an increase in seizure threshold in epileptics. Fenproporex hydrochloride also has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its esterification with fatty acids. The detection time for this drug is approximately 2 hours.
