4,5,6-Trimethoxy-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-1-one is a benzylidene indanone derivative that has potent anticancer activity. It inhibits the polymerisation of tubulin and blocks the formation of microtubules in vitro. This drug also has cytotoxic effects on cancer cells and has shown potent anticancer activity in vivo. 4,5,6-Trimethoxy-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-1-one has been shown to have a wide range of applications for the treatment of cancerous cells and is highly effective against leukemia.
