Product Information
TIC10 is a molecule that inhibits the transcriptional activity of RNA polymerase. TIC10 has been shown to induce apoptosis in tumor cells by upregulating expression of pro-apoptotic genes and downregulating anti-apoptotic genes. TIC10 also induces tumor cell death through activation of caspases 3 and 7, cleavage of PARP, increased levels of reactive oxygen species, reduced mitochondrial function, and modulation of the toll-like receptor signaling pathway. TIC10 has minimal toxicity in mice and is active against pediatric tumors. It is an epigenetic modulator that can be used as an antitumor agent with minimal side effects.
