Description:
4-Iodo-2-methylbenzaldehyde is a chemotherapeutic agent that has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in vivo by inducing apoptosis. It binds to the active site of the enzyme phosphatase, which is found in cancer cells. 4-Iodo-2-methylbenzaldehyde also inhibits transcription and protein synthesis, leading to cell death. This drug may be effective for treating cancer cells that are resistant to other chemotherapeutic agents due to its ability to induce apoptosis in these cells.
