Product Information
2-Methyl-6-(trifluoromethyl)quinoline is a ligand that has been shown to have antileukemia activity. It binds to the p-388 cells and inhibits the production of DNA, RNA, and protein in these cells. 2-Methyl-6-(trifluoromethyl)quinoline also inhibits the activity of zwitterions and iodides, which are enzymes that play a role in lymphocytic leukemia cell growth. This compound is not toxic to healthy cells because it does not bind to them. The drug has been shown to be an analog of quinaldine, which is used in pharmaceuticals such as antihistamines and antipsychotics.
