Product Information
- Z-Gly-Pro-Arg-Pna
Z-Gly-Pro-Arg-pnaacetate is a fluorogenic substrate that is specifically cleaved by thrombin, a key enzyme in the blood coagulation cascade. It is a synthetic substrate used for the detection of enzymes that hydrolyze peptide bonds, such as trypsin and chymotrypsin.Upon cleavage, this substrate releases a highly fluorescent p-nitroaniline (pNA) moiety, which can be detected and quantified using fluorescence spectroscopy. This substrate is widely used in the study of thrombin activity, as well as in the development of assays for the diagnosis and monitoring of blood coagulation disorders and the evaluation of anticoagulant therapies.
