- Morpholine, 4-[(2-Bromophenyl)Methyl]-
4-(2-Bromophenylmethyl)morpholine is a benzyl-substituted morpholine and a cytochrome P450 (CYP450) enzyme substrate. It has been shown to be metabolized by CYP2A13, which is involved in the detoxification of xenobiotics and carcinogens. 4-(2-Bromophenylmethyl)morpholine is a potent inhibitor of human liver microsomal enzymes and has been shown to induce DNA adduct formation in rat lung and human lung tissue. This drug has shown toxicity in rats at high doses, but it is not known if this effect occurs in humans.
