It is a potent activator of this receptor and has been shown to be a useful tool for the study of this receptor. 1-[11-(Dodecylamino)-10-hydroxyundecyl]-3,7-dihydro-3,7-dimethyl-1H-purine-2,6-dione is also an inhibitor of ion channels.
