Desketoraloxifene is a novel, orally bioavailable small molecule that binds to the estrogen receptor and inhibits the interaction with estrogen response elements. It has been shown that desketoraloxifene can be used as an inhibitor in cell biology and physiology research. Desketoraloxifene has also been shown to be a potent activator of the vasodilator peptide bradykinin in vitro. This drug is currently being investigated for its potential use in cancer therapy.
