Reparixin (Reparixin) is a synthetic chemokine analog that inhibits the activity of CXCR2, an inflammatory receptor. It has been shown to inhibit tumor and breast cancer growth in human cells. Reparixin also has anti-inflammatory properties and can be used as an inhibitor for chemokines. It has been shown to inhibit neutrophil migration, which may be effective against bowel disease. Reparixin is not active against nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, which are used to treat inflammation.
