Product Information
The reaction of 4-bromoaniline with 3-chloroacetyl chloride in the presence of a base yields N-(4-bromophenyl)-3-pyridinamine. This chloroacetylation is an efficient process for the synthesis of aminopyridines and yields high yields, which are not dependent on the nature of the aniline used. The reaction is also applicable to phenols and gives chloroacetyl derivatives in good yield.
