3-(3,5-Dibromo-4-hydroxyphenyl)-N-(4-phenoxybenzyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazole-5-carboxamide is a quinazoline derivative that inhibits the voltage gated sodium channels. 3-(3,5-Dibromo-4-hydroxyphenyl)-N-(4-phenoxybenzyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazole-5-carboxamide has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of the polycystic kidney disease (PKD) in rats. It also has anti-cancer effects and can inhibit the growth of human cancer cells. This compound was originally developed as an analgesic.
